  1. I have booked the flight and I am currently booking appointments with the artists who I want to get tattooed by in the bay area. So, is there anything I should try to see or do while visiting? I know there are many SF residents on this board, so I'm hoping you guys can give me some tips. I'm visiting the third week of September by the way.

    May 6th!

Oooh, I'm going. Any art show featuring the Wizardry of all of Tattoo Thirteen, including Austin, is gonna be good! I have two little thirteen tattoos, one on each ankle, from two different Friday the 13th tattooing parties. One's from Hector Fong, the other's from Chummy Alexanian. I'm glad they're having an art show instead this time around, I'm out of ankles.

  5. http://www.facebook.com/people/Matt-Arriola/100000490300185#!/photo.php?fbid=215221748504167&set=a.163120863714256.40718.100000490300185&type=1&theater Here is a link to my newly started backpiece. This photo is better than any that I have taken, and it is easier to upload. I used to be very hesitant to post any of my tattoos anywhere online, but my ideas on that have changed. This forum is about sharing tattoo related information, and since I do not make tattoos the only thing that I have to share is the tattoos that I have. Also I usually hate in progress photos, but I will try and update things as they go forward. I am almost four hours in at this point. Hopefully I will have this finished by the end of the summer. And I am sorry that everyone has to see my ass.

  6. a bike would be the best thing in the world! there are a few places that rent them, i'm sure a good google search will yield positive results on that one. keep us posted on your stay while you are here. if the stars align maybe we can get an LST pow wow together or something and you can show off your souvenirs. either way man, have a blast!

  10. That's REPULSIVE. Tattoo shop in a nudie store? I'm outraged. Can you get me the address of that place so I can go tell them how upset I am? And do they have peep booths?

    Milton Zeis project

Yes, that book has been a great resource for info. This book would not have been possible without Chuck Eldridge and Dana Brunson. So many people have been very helpful in piecing together everything. Right now I think we are close to having all the material needed for the book but we are still trying to track down any photographs of Zeis (they are hard to come by). One thing we really need is an original copy of a Zeis supply catalog. The one I have is a copy and I want to scan a few things off the OG catalog. If anyone has one you would be willing to loan me for use in the book please contact me. Here is a small list of artists (not all, still working out the details) that are contributing paintings of commercial flash sold by Zeis. Scott Sylvia Theo Mindell Scott Harrison Chad Koeplinger Jason Brooks Robert Ryan Timothy Hoyer Mike Wilson Tim Lehi Nick Colella Valerie Vargas Stewart Robson Bryan Burk Steve Byrne Tony Hundahl Nick Rodin Jay Chastain Danny Reed Shag Cory Lenherr Aaron Coleman Jay Chastain Thomas Morgan Charlie Roberts and a bunch more... Again its humbling how many people have been willing to help with this project. Zeis's influence on the tattoo world is much greater than I had expected. I hope we can do him justice and preserve his legacy for others.
