rodpenit
Hey guys! Very thrilled to join this community! So I had my first tattoo ever a couple months ago, and I'm quite happy with the overall result, except for one little detail... the location. As you can see the earth deforms when I stretch my arm. Its my first tattoo so I didnt think too much that this could happen and the artist didnt tell me anything either. As I said I really like the tattoo but that little thing kind of annoys me. I've even thought of turning the earth into a balloon or an egg or something that is meant to be deformed with pressure so it looks better and also to give it a touch of originality... But I havent done that because I fear it might ruin the tattoo... Maybe I'm also over worrying about this and should accept that tattoos can't be perfect. Anyway, any advice to make the sphere look rounder (actually any advice about the tattoo itself) or thought will be welcome Thank you in advance! JAC1961
It looks fine as is, don't worry about it. Every tattoo deforms as the skin moves, not much you can do about it. I think artists do what they can to compensate for it, but you can't make it perfect in every position. Enjoy it and start planning your next one. cgrave
It's perfectly fine. Tattoos will always shift or contort with your body when you move. It is inevitable and unique to tattoos since the canvas is not static. If this is an issue for you, you might want to avoid getting any other tattoos. Messing with the tattoo by changing it will just make things worse. Honestly, after a while, you don't even notice the momentary distortions any more. rodpenit 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/9153-need-advice-for-tattoo/#findComment-147596 Share on other sites
Gingerninja
Leave it alone and get more tattoos around it. No one will notice it except for you. rodpenit, SStu, Jdela28 and 1 other 3 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/9153-need-advice-for-tattoo/#findComment-147598 Share on other sites

deckerisareplicant
Earth isn’t a perfect circle anyway. I’m pretty OCD to be honest, which makes getting tattoos a pain in the ass process for me. But I’d be totally happy with that. Awesome tattoo. rodpenit 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/9153-need-advice-for-tattoo/#findComment-147645 Share on other sites
