VenomX
Have had a few tattoos done previously with no issues, This is the first one ive had however whilst im lying down. However when I had a medium size piece on my arm done earlier, half way through i felt light headed and then every light looked really bright. So I told the tattooist and he said just rest for a few minutes and have some water, within seconds I went back to normal again I think the culprit was because I wasn't breathing properly as I was quite tensed and concentrating on trying not to move, could also be because I didnt have a sugary snack or drink before the tattoo. ?? The tattoo came out perfectly however Edited July 9, 2019 by VenomX Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8489-light-headed/ Share on other sites
scottyg
yeah, man, you really need to relax your body, find your zen, and breathe. being tense will not be good for getting tattooed. glad it came out well though. bongsau 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8489-light-headed/#findComment-143718 Share on other sites

VenomX
Ok next time I will sip on a lucozade and have a few sugary cerial bars along with deep breathing. Hope it helps Gingerninja 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8489-light-headed/#findComment-143879 Share on other sites
zetroc
Definitely breathe as evenly as possible. You might have to force yourself to stop holding your breath. And make sure you eat properly beforehand. Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8489-light-headed/#findComment-143911 Share on other sites
VenomX
Got my next one tomorrow, will be a bigger piece. Early night, big bowl of cerial, few breakfast bars, and sip on an energy drink before and during. Most importantly deep breathing. Hope it goes ok JAC1961 and oboogie 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8489-light-headed/#findComment-144038 Share on other sites
JAC1961
You've got this, piece of cake. I was taught several years ago the technique of "belly breathing". On the inhale you push your stomach outward fully. The idea being that your diaphragm drops further, pulling air more deeply into your lungs. It seems odd at first, but is easy to get the hang of. It really helps relieve stress. Do it slowly, concentrating on each breathe. Good luck! 👍 bongsau, SStu and oboogie 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8489-light-headed/#findComment-144044 Share on other sites
VenomX
Had the tattoo just now, took about one hour. Woke up. Had some toast, then my meds, then some cerial, then a breakfast bar, then sipped on non fizzy energy drink all through the session. No dizziness or anything unusual. Will post pics of tattoo later 🙂 Samth and JAC1961 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8489-light-headed/#findComment-144049 Share on other sites
