Japanese sleeve proggress (need tips)

Hello im a relatively new member and i couldnt select other themes for the post so.. So what i wanted to ask is if you guys have any tips for what should i put between my unfinished dragon tattoo and my hanya mask  above the elbow any tips,recomendations etc.. Thank you for your time (pics below)

Nice one bro.

Take some time thinking with yourself about ideas,stories and meaningful things in your life, then try and imagine and vision of all those together. 

I would definitely continue with the same style, but without the meaningful picture coming from you and you only I believe that's nothing more than a picture, and that's not what are tattoos. Atleast not for me .

I'd find a tattoo artist who specializes in Japanese style and ask them. Try to get a unified theme going.

a chrysanthemum would make the most sense between the skull/knife/hanya mask representing transitioning to death

I can't see what the background is behind the dragon, but waves would make sense connecting the whole scene, as dragons are kind of rulers of water in Japanese tattooing thought, and chrysanthemums are often tattooed with water

But as @Hogrider said you're absolutely going to have to find a tattooer who specializes in traditional Japanese as I'm just a collector

Thank you all for your replies! For a little bit of an explanation for my tattoos the knife piercing the skull with the hannya mask, it doesnt matter where is your position in the world ceo,policeman,constructer,lawyer,farmer etc.. we  are all flesh and bone beneath the mask we are wearing walking to the same end awaiting us. The dragon represents wisdom,strenght and wealth and the courage not to fear walking alone. Downside of my country there are not too many if any tattoo artists specializing in japanese culture tattoos. I decided to fill the spot with koi fish combined with a crysanthemum ill post a pic bellow with the direction im going.

Hey, just so you are aware don't be surprised if a Japanese-style artist says no to you. There are a number of artists that won't be down with the idea of adding on and tying things together. It happened to me.

yeah, I think keeping the connecting material simple is the best way to go. hanya/skull/dagger + chrysanthemum + koi + dragon would just be too much. you want say two/three objects to stand out and the other things to be in the background, plus it has to make sense seasonally and symbolically.

where are you living that there's no Japanese specialists?
