cyoonit123
Hey Everyone, I'm still learning the search function and couldn't find exactly what I wanted (granted I didn't look through all the pages 😅) . What's everyone's opinion on marathon tattoos? I'm getting a sleeve done with 3 consecutive days back to back. This is due to the artist that I wanted only doing a guest spot for 5 days and I want the full sleeve done. Feel free to criticize or speak openly! Just wanted some thoughts.  Thanks! Hogrider
I think it's going to be hard to get a top quality sleeve done in three days, just my opinion. Good work and careful attention to detail takes time. If you can sit for three full days, more power to you; I don't think there is a reason not to. cyoonit123 and scottyg 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8335-marathon-tattoos/#findComment-142183 Share on other sites
scottyg
I'm doing a Japanese backpiece, and generally speaking, that's a situation of slow and steady wins the race.... which I rather like. It becomes a part of the rhythm of life in a way that's gotta be different than a sprint. Getting tattooed monthly over the span of many years is the true marathon. cyoonit123
Definitely agree with you both! I don't know why but I just have this huge sense of urgency and want that immediate gratification from getting the full sleeve done. With all this being said, we'll see how long i'm able to last lol. Longest i've sat was 5 hours and the 5th hour was hell. Thanks for your thoughts! scottyg 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8335-marathon-tattoos/#findComment-142194 Share on other sites
WillyBoy123
A buddy of mine sat 11 hours once, he F***ing hated it. What scares me is that the artist must lose focus..  scottyg 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/8335-marathon-tattoos/#findComment-142890 Share on other sites
