First tattoo and almost 18!

Hey there!!

so i ended up convincing my parents about getting my first tattoo (which is curious coming from a catholic south american family) and im almost 18, i still have some months to think it, like the design or the studio but i would like to know an opinion of this one in my forearm.

that would end up looking like a big black blob on your arm,IMO that would not transfer well to a tattoo.

maybe you should wait a few years to really think about it and find a good artist.

Yep, that piece doesn't have enough contrast. You need to learn something about what a tattoo can be and how it will last. Hang around here for a few months and you should get the idea.

This would be regretful. Look for a graphic image with sharp details.

I also come from a Catholic S.A. mother and had to hide my tattoos or would have been beheaded.

I'd say go bicep area in lieu of forearm for first tattoo to test the waters.  It seems you're not quite ready to pull the trigger so think it out first. Look into getting that image in American Traditional, it would look sweet.

Shrouded and hooded figures can look really cool when done well. Take a look around your area (where are you located, anyway?) and see if you can find a tattoo artist who does work in a similar style. And welcome to the forum.
