What's the best way to go about this tattoo idea?

I want to have a tattoo of each of the countries I've traveled to once I've traveled to them. Would it be a bit boring to just have the names listed somewhere? What would you guys suggest? So for example it's going to be Georgia (but I prefer Sakartvelo), Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedon, Serbia, etc.

Just wanted to add that I'm going to fully explore the countries rather than just visit some of their towns and cities.

Flags, crests, crowns, countries' folk cultural symbols, etc. Those are some ideas that occur to me.

A few of my friends have 'tour' tattoos of the places they've been. My one buddy has two amazing sleeves pieced together of the places he's been with the iconic city/country symbols, flags, and the like (what @scottyg said).
