Devious6
Welcome to the forum! We would really need to see a picture to make any comment about your healing process. In terms of after care, you should be following the advice of your artist....did he/she tell you to wrap it at night? Unless you have concerns about cleanliness, or you are using something like Tagiderm (which I assume you aren't because you seem to be wrapping it each night), you should be allowing your skin to breath - it needs air to heal. While some people here will advocate a dry heal with no lotion, many recommend a VERY LIGHT application of a fragrance-free moisturizer several times a day. Your tattoo should not appear wet after application. scottyg 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7689-new-tattoo/#findComment-134969 Share on other sites

SStu
It's looking fine. Don't worry about peeling or scabbing, but stop re-wrapping it. Let it breathe. Tornado7
It looks good. At six days, mine are unwrapped, getting plain lotion, and starting to peel. Lines peel differently than fields of color for me. You may not notice it if you are keeping the area clean, it may just peel off in the shower. scottyg, Devious6 and madhav 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7689-new-tattoo/#findComment-134977 Share on other sites
HondaTiger
is there always scabbing and peeling? seems i've read in other forums on this site that some people have had little to no peeling when they've used tegaderm or saniderm. i realize you aren't using those but just wondered if sometimes people just don't experience those symptoms. Devious6
Dan is spot on - people and tattoos often heal differently. My first and second were like night and day in how they healed. In any case, welcome! Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7689-new-tattoo/#findComment-135016 Share on other sites
Gingerninja
Just keep doing what you are doing...keeping it clean and very lightly moisturized if needed! oboogie 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7689-new-tattoo/#findComment-135026 Share on other sites
