Dan
looks fine IMO,except for maybe you are keeping it too wet with ointment, try something like fragrance free Aveeno, very lightly a couple time s a day. SStu
Yep. It'll be 3-4 weeks at least before it's completely healed, and even then it''ll likely still be a bit shiny (and that's without ointment, which is completely optional). Tornado7
It will never look exactly like it did when it was an open wound. Your skin is healing over the ink, so you'll always look through a layer of yourself. That's what is supposed to happen, and it is a good thing. There can be some ugly / concerning / itchy phases getting there though! Gingerninja
Give it some time! Don't over moisturize. Let it flake, scab, peel and don't pick at it. :) Barbera, Devious6 and suburbanxcore 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7687-need-reassurance-lol/#findComment-134961 Share on other sites
oboogie
Barbera, you are putting way too much Bapanthen on there. I'd lay off it all together and just use an unscented lotion a couple of times a day. Leaving it alone is the best thing you can do. Devious6
I use Aveeno - during healing and ever day afterward to keep my skin moist. Lots of good advice here...bottom line is that you've got it too moist at this point. Remember you are healing an open wound and your skin needs air to heal. oboogie 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7687-need-reassurance-lol/#findComment-134965 Share on other sites
JazzyMac
That's a lovely tattoo. Is it me, or does it look better now that it's healing? Or is it just the shiny part. It just seems more "clear" now versus the first picture. I'm not that knowledgeable in these things as yet.
