Isotope
This is 12 days post-application. Right at the pants line when I sit. The nasty scabs are almost gone. But these lines, christ, I have no idea how they are going to look when everything finally heals. Anybody had a similar really nasty situation turn out ok? This is not blowout. tatB
I've had similar. It looks worse now than it will when the red calms down and heals. The more time it has to heal the more "normal" it will look. polliwog, marley mission, a_beukeveld and 1 other 4 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7263-savagely-tough-healing-spot-my-fault/#findComment-129543 Share on other sites
Isotope
Thanks @BrianH. It's a very small part of a very large plot of linework, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This is the first time it's ever happened to me and I've not done anything different, and I've had a lot of work done around pants/waistline (my back piece goes down onto my ass), all working the same job and daily routines as with this piece. I'm just obviously super bummed. marley mission
dont stress (easy to say when its not your tattoo) - you know in the end it wont matter - it'll heal and be just a small part of some tattoo awesomeness but i know how you feel - when i have healed forearm pieces those are the hardest because you see them constantly and analyzing every detail becomes a part of the healing ritual it'll be all good Isotope and Devious6 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7263-savagely-tough-healing-spot-my-fault/#findComment-129545 Share on other sites
Isotope
My big hope right now is that the lines will be reapplied if necessary at the next session. I'm just trying to avoid any scarring right now. Using a dab of bacitracin. Isotope
Progress update. Still lots of white skin in the middle of lines. Longest heal I've had by far, especially for linework. This is almost a month post-application. Hopefully I didn't do something wrong and hang my head in embarrassment at the next session Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/7263-savagely-tough-healing-spot-my-fault/#findComment-130098 Share on other sites
Synesthesia
It's hard to tell if some ink fell out or if it just looks shiny in the pictures. Worst case scenario, you get a couple lines touched up, no worries. It might not even be noticeable after the color goes in. Hospitelli
@Isotope As others have echoed I wouldn't worry too much about that. Give it time to completely heal and it will look much better. I have had some ink fall out and minor blowouts of lines along my oblique area that look great after color was put into it. Sometimes it is unavoidable in that region especially if you have stretch marks.
