Thanks for sharing pictures of your laser tattoo removal. Did you get laser to get that colored dragon tattoo over it more visibal or is the tattoo over the laser random?

I just wanted some color on my arms, have a big Jap back piece, along with both legs but arms with big black tribal stuff so just wanted to break it up!

I think laser is too painful. Cruel and unusual punishment almost!

I did one laser treatment on my hand. Far from gone... I wasn't so much trying to remove the tattoo though as I was trying to learn about the process.

Definitely not worth it to me. I would rather cut my tattoos out.

I've had 5 sessions on a substantial inner forearm color piece, It hurt pretty bad but it only took a couple minutes each session, the blistering afterward was far worse. My wife is getting a lower backpiece removed and it hurts her far worse, while she can sit far better for a tattoo than i can. She required emla after the first session and it makes it bearable for her. I tried it and it helped quite a bit.

As for the tattoo, it has faded substantially, unfortunately it has alot of green in it that has barely faded but at least most of the black is gone.

Good lord I need to move to the USA and get rich and famous for not being a laser butcher.

The pain, the bruising, the blisters and the scars are caused by people not understanding the process and misusing the equipment.

I never let a client leave with blisters, rarely get even small bruises, have never left a client with scared skin and get really good removal results.

Its time to do some learning people.

If you are offering laser and feel you may be causing pain or damage beyond whats necesary drop me a PM I will be happy to chat.

Cornish,

do you have a recommendation for those of us living in the states? Living in California is kind of far from Cornwall :)

$975 spread over a year and a half- it was a solid dark piece - I am actually very happy with the progress - I dont sweat the cost so much because I messed up a good tattoo with a poor addition decision (bathing suit) and will be glad to have to covered this summer

Hi Andy here. I have become pretty knowledgeable on the process now. Eithne at Tattoo Removal Specialist spent a bit of time with me before I committed to it.

Tattoo removal is a process and a commitment. It does work but you have to understand the technology. Q-Switched laser is used to fracture the ink in the tattoo. Once the ink is broken into smaller particles it allows the body's immune system to carry it away harmlessly like normal waste. The reason why you will not see results in the first few weeks is because it takes between 6 to 8 weeks to allow the body to do the job. This needs to be repeated many times with the 6 to 8 weeks breaks. The number of treatments are based your skin type, location of tattoo, colour of tattoo, layering of tattoo and complexity of the tattoo.

They have a comprehensive website www.tattooremovalspecialist.com.au on the topic and they also guarantee to remove the tattoo to the point of your satisfaction

Every time I have heard of laser here from somebody (in US) they have always gotten bad blisters.  Im shocked this isn't "normal".
