Isotope
The girl figure bent into a skull. Where did it originate? On a flash sheet? Does it have a specific name?

Hands On
i've heard it called the bent back girl or bent back skull. first time i saw it was in this animation called "The Devil in Denim." oldest reference i've seen is from Milton Zeis, Tattooing As You Like It. there are some awesome versions of it. this DETH version tickled my fancy, so i copped it. can't remember the title of this piece at the moment, but i'll track it down. Nick W
I think in Hardy's "Wear Your Dreams" he mentions the design becoming a popular WW2(?) design, A little fuzzy but I remember being surprised of how old the design is. Cork
I've heard it referred to as a broke back girl. If that helps broaden your search. All the google image search results turn up pictures from threads off this forum, ha.

fantasma
Hi! I was wondering if anyone has found any more information about the bent back girl tattoo design? Other then this forum, it's been really hard finding any information or history about the design. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
