I found this in an old competition that a norwegian newspaper had for the ''coolest'' tattoo in Norway.

To be honest never understand love for japanese tattoo. My friend once did tattoo with japanese ieroglifs, and well it didn't go well. Translation was hilarious

Everyone likes what they like, but true Japanese tattooing probably has had more influence on modern tattooing than anything else... American traditional a close second.  Janky kanji is not what it's about.
