Mom/Son tattoo help

I did a memorial tattoo for the women in my family who've passed from cancer. It is each of their birth month flowers. Turned out beautifully!

how bout something like this. Im not sure about the water lily. It is kind of hard to get it to fit.

This has a lot of potential. Take this drawing to a tattoo artist as a reference. I'm sure they can transform it so it all fits very nicely together. That's part of their job.

My daughter is named Sydney- one of the naming books warned us that kids might call her "Squidney" so we cut it off at the pass by calling her that ourselves. Last summer my wife had Nick Colella tattoo a squid across her knee. It's awesome.

My wife is wanting to get the attached or something similar on her rib area. I know that it doesnt matter what i think but i dont like the idea.

Ive been searching our galleries here but i just keep finding Mom heart images. Does anybody have any other ideas as a representation of a Mom and her son or sons?

Maybe a cool version of a simple Matryoshka? Would work best for mother and daughter but the spin with a male 2nd might be cool
