@Graeme, scoot on down to Virginia and get you a Bruno!

I have been hoping to drastically cut back on my tattoo travels because my bank account thinks I'm a total asshole right now....BUT getting rad tattoos is this dumb compulsion I have so who knows!

Eddy Deutsche finished mine a few weeks ago.

Terrible pic of the whole thing and one of the mini ROA in the book at the bottom.

Four total in the piece ;)

Fucking insane, man! Lucky you, not just for the backpiece, but for the time spent with Eddy. He's such a cool guy.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned in this tread somewhere but I've been wondering what this image is from? Is there an original somewhere? Same with the pharoah's horses. Where is that image from?

My two favorite images!

Pharaoh's Horses was originally a painting/print that someone decided would look cool as a tattoo. Unless it was the other way around. Here's a link to a fairly extensive history.

I first heard of 'Rock of Ages' as a Christian hymn (written in 1763, according to Wikipedia) growing up. I'm sure the image evolved from that somehow. I would someday love to own a copy of Ed Hardy's book on the subject.

Just finished the first sitting of my Rock of Ages, backpiece.

It is done by Robert Aalbers at his shop Clean Solid Tattoo in Waalwijk, The Netherlands (the Land of the Dutch).

All the lining is done, can't wait to get some color in.
