severgirl3
I need to cover up the name on my ankle and I have racked my brain out trying to come up with something but I am at a loss. I thought something with music, or something related to growing as a person, new life, anything to cover the name, possibly the entire tattoo. I just don't want something gigantic on my ankle. I'm willing to extend down to my foot just need help. Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5383-advice-on-a-cover-up/ Share on other sites

severgirl3
I don't want it removed just covered with something better Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5383-advice-on-a-cover-up/#findComment-98460 Share on other sites
CultExciter
You pretty much are going to have to double the size or more of that tattoo to have it covered properly. If you don't want to commit to that size, you really need to look into lasering. Graeme
You can have it lightened so that you'll have more options for a cover-up, especially if you don't want something super large. daveborjes and CultExciter 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5383-advice-on-a-cover-up/#findComment-98463 Share on other sites
severgirl3
I was googling and do you think a tree above it would work? Not a huge tree but maybe use route to wind through the name or just cover it with the base? Yaxiki
I think a tree would look weird if you tried to integrate it. Most pics of trees stop at the ground and don't show the roots. severgirl3
If it's beautiful I'll go a bit big just don't want a colossal piece on my pretty leg. SeeSea
With the ratio of the size of the root ball to the size/height of the tree required, the tree will go most, if not all the way to your knee. Otherwise it will look like a squat ugly bush. daveborjes and Graeme 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5383-advice-on-a-cover-up/#findComment-98488 Share on other sites

Mick Weder
I know ya said at 1st ya didn't wanna go big, but then now thinking something large that would extend high. That was my initial thought when I 1st read your post. Go big, sleeve out the leg solid. Valerie Vargas
get two sessions of laser treatment, to lighten the tattoo. wait 6 months to let the skin settle, find a competent artist, and maybe get a rose tattooed over the top, classic, timeless, represents love and could possibly tie to growth etc. a colour tattoo will work way better to cover this design than a black & grey one. that's what i'd recommend mtlsam, polliwog, PickingUpDust and 5 others 8 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5383-advice-on-a-cover-up/#findComment-98513 Share on other sites
