Gemini
Hey all! I've been lurking along and have already learned a ton at LST. I have a single tattoo, a bad college decision. I've had it lasered a few times, and now I'm looking for a cover up. I can see already that this place is addictive. I've gone from "maybe it should be a little larger than I was going to go" to "and I need this and this, and ohhhhh look at that!" Thanks for letting me hang out. hogg, Rikhall and polliwog 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5261-hellos-such/ Share on other sites
else
Welcome :) This place does the same thing to me. It makes me want more, and bigger, and now!! ;) Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5261-hellos-such/#findComment-95733 Share on other sites
exume
Welcome! If you let us know where you live I'm sure someone could give you a killer recommendation for your new cover-up Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5261-hellos-such/#findComment-95742 Share on other sites
Gemini
I live in the greater SF bay area. I could fairly easily travel to anywhere in Northern California. While I am seeing a lot of great work, I am having trouble finding someone doing great work of the style I think I want. I really like the etching/woodcut/linework approach to botanicals. Suggestions? Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5261-hellos-such/#findComment-95823 Share on other sites
Graeme
Somebody with better knowledge of the tattooers in the area might be able to offer better advice, but Stephanie Tamez from Saved Tattoo in Brooklyn sometimes does guest spots at 2Spirit in SF. Steph is great with the woodcut/etching style and she's one of the best people in tattooing that I've ever met. I'd give 2Spirit a call and see when she's next tattooing there and see about getting in with her. hogg
Check out Bryan Randolph at Spider Murphy's in San Raphael. Great guy, great tattooer. He's well versed in many styles, and I've seen him do some stuff that has that etching feel to it. Check him out: Instagram Iwar 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5261-hellos-such/#findComment-95825 Share on other sites
9Years
@Gemini I second Hogg: Bryan Randolph is awesome! 2Spirit in SF is definitely worth checking out also, but I don't have any first-hand experience with them. Michael Bennett at FTW Tattoo in Oakland might also be up your alley. Good Luck! hogg 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5261-hellos-such/#findComment-95827 Share on other sites
