corygoose
I was just curious if you thought it might help heal better, and what you thought of it? Or just stick with aquaphor? Mark Bee
Neither. Dry healing works just fine for me. Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4984-anyone-ever-try-hustle-butter/#findComment-88987 Share on other sites
MadeIndelible
Nope. Just dry healing and non-scented lotion. Also, the name Hustle Butter gives me the creeps. daveborjes 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4984-anyone-ever-try-hustle-butter/#findComment-88992 Share on other sites

smiling.politely
Generally, if something has a trendy sounding name, especially if it's trying to be funny sounding or tattoo related, I suggest avoiding it. kingofcosta
I agree that the name is ridiculous, but I think the product is spot on. I've used it while tattooing people and it is great for keeping the skin perfect, it helps prevent swelling and keeps reddening to a minimum. It smells awesome (if you like coconut - if you don't, then you'll hate it)! My major complaint is that it is really expensive, and seems to try really hard to be 'cool'. I dry heal most of my tattoos and have not tried this as a healing balm, but as an alternative to Vaseline during the tattoo process it is excellent. Harlot
A good friend of mine loves it, same with his daughters who have all used it on various tattoos. I have used it for my last 2 and I wish I had used it for my rose since my skin didn't seem to like the aquaphor. abees
Lots of people have said what they think it sounds like, etc. But it sounds like a Tom Haverford creation, to me. MuseTattoo
I agree, aquaphor is the way to go. I would even choose Tattoo Goo over the over priced A&D with dye Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4984-anyone-ever-try-hustle-butter/#findComment-91141 Share on other sites
deadsp0t
I agree' date=' aquaphor is the way to go. I would even choose Tattoo Goo over the over priced A&D with dye[/quote']Aquaphor for the win. Healed one tattoo with tattoo goo healing lotion and it looks noticeably not as bright and all my tattoos were done by the same person. All before and after are brighter, I'm convinced it's the lotions fault lol Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4984-anyone-ever-try-hustle-butter/#findComment-91143 Share on other sites
ttoosday
I purchased hustle butter from the shop a week ago. I liked it alright. It smelled really good but not overpowering. I didn't use it very long cuz my tat scabbed up very quickly so I switched to plain lubriderm but I liked it just fine. It was expensive tho. KegRN
I've used it for each of the three sessions I had this year. My artist used it and it smelled so good I bought some. Ya it cost $20 I think, but it goes a long way. I used it the first week and then quit but only because my husband always put to much on. I couldn't reach my back to do it myself. I got tired of wearing shirts that I didn't mind getting greasy.
