Topprozac
Hello all new to tattoos and the forum had this done 2 days ago have been washing daily and applying ointment noticing that when I apply the ointment after about and hour it looks like bubbling in a few spots is it just scabs soaking in the ointment or is this a bad sign? Any input would be appreciated Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4716-new-with-a-question/ Share on other sites
deadsp0t
Welcome to LST, Sounds normal to me, just do not pick at the spots or pull at any loose spots. Just let'em come off Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4716-new-with-a-question/#findComment-83736 Share on other sites
Topprozac
That's good new just double checking since it's my first one just going off the look and it only will do it when the ointment is put on so I guess it's just the scabs soaking in the ointment Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4716-new-with-a-question/#findComment-83746 Share on other sites
Graeme
Hello and welcome. The artist who did the tattoo will have the best advice about healing and aftercare, so the best idea is to contact them if you have any questions about how your tattoo is healing. That said, I'd stop with the ointment and let the scabs dry out. Keep the tattoo clean and dry and you should be good. smiling.politely
and if you do continue to use ointment or lotion try out using far less. rather than leaving a big shiny layer put on a tiny amount and rub it all the way in. a good rule of thumb is if it's shiny, there's generally too much stuff on it. Topprozac
I think that's exactly what the problem was I let it dry overnight and put a real tiny amount on and it seems to be a lot better Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/4716-new-with-a-question/#findComment-83815 Share on other sites
