Just got back to reality after a visit to a local coffee shop. I was looking for a job in pretty much any coffee shop that had good reviews, and my sister had recommended this place in Noe Valley. I walked in with my résumé, and what did I find but a group of the most brightly flanneled hipster girls and one pseudo-punk kid. I'm from a small town, so I found it quite the culture shock experience to walk into that place after working in the coffee shops back home. I think some of the people in SF take the hipsterdom to a whole new level. I felt like I was entering a black hole for about 30 minutes there.

And also, I think it's best if I found a different way to find my new projects and school. And that I will stick to real tattooing for the rest of my life.

That's my random crap story for today.

Also coming from a small town and moving directly to San Francisco, I can say that you're definitely not alone in the culture shock. There were a few art dorks in Fort Bragg, but barely any and they didn't really take themselves that seriously. Seeing these kids continues to be a new level of eye-rolling.
