MadeIndelible
Just got back to reality after a visit to a local coffee shop. I was looking for a job in pretty much any coffee shop that had good reviews, and my sister had recommended this place in Noe Valley. I walked in with my résumé, and what did I find but a group of the most brightly flanneled hipster girls and one pseudo-punk kid. I'm from a small town, so I found it quite the culture shock experience to walk into that place after working in the coffee shops back home. I think some of the people in SF take the hipsterdom to a whole new level. I felt like I was entering a black hole for about 30 minutes there. And also, I think it's best if I found a different way to find my new projects and school. And that I will stick to real tattooing for the rest of my life. That's my random crap story for today. cltattooing
San Francisco is literally filled with dorks, don't worry about it too much :p but in other words, I hear the actual coffee is good! spookysproul, hogg and daveborjes

MadeIndelible
Also, I'm a bit of a nerd myself, as far as personality goes, but that was a lot to handle.
cltattooing
haha.. I feel that there is a crucial difference between a nerd and a dork. Like.. dorks have far less soul/passion and are usually pretty lame. Like San Francisco financiers, techies, and hipsters.
spookysproul
Also coming from a small town and moving directly to San Francisco, I can say that you're definitely not alone in the culture shock. There were a few art dorks in Fort Bragg, but barely any and they didn't really take themselves that seriously. Seeing these kids continues to be a new level of eye-rolling.
