THAT GUY at the 9:30 Club

I've known Josh Burdette (aka THAT GUY, WALL OF BEARD and OBMF) for almost 20 years.

He passed away this week. It's been a rough year; after my friend Shannon of BME died a few months ago Josh joked that we should take a break from our friends dying for a while. Strange how it all works out.

For those of you who knew Josh- pretty much anyone who's seen a show at the 9:30 Club since 1997 has surely seen him...

The services will be held as follows:

Visitation with Family:

Friday September 6th 2013

3:00-5:00pm and 6:30-8:30pm

Memorial Service:

Saturday September 7th 2013

2:00pm

St. Paul's United Methodist Church

10401 Armory Avenue

Kensington Maryland 20895

The family is finalizing details on where contributions can be made in lieu of flowers.

I will definitely miss seeing Josh at 9:30 Club. I never knew him on a personal level, but he was a fixture there, and I always made a point to say hello to him.

Haven't been to 930 since I last lived in PG but it's impossible to forget that dude. Really nice guy from what I remember, such sad news. @ShawnPorter rough year man, so sorry.

Josh's body was covered with dragon tattoos, all of which had their eyes unfinished. it was one of his wishes for them to be finished after he passed.

A tattooer was allowed access to his body to finish them.

I'm beyond touched.
