blujax01
I see it all over the Internet and for the most part, I think - maybe hope is a better word - it's more photoshopped than real life. Or is it? Has anyone actually seen "No Regerts" or "Only God can Juge Me"? I can understand to a certain extent if something in another language has an error (although I would do a ton of research before I ended up with Chinese characters proclaiming "Peace, Love, Dog Soup"), but come on: "For Those I Love, I Will Sacrafice"??? Really? Anyone care to discuss? Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/3858-misspelled-words/ Share on other sites
opal fruits
I've never seen it but when i got lettering done I spell check the word about 50 times. There's no excuse really. Graeme
I have a friend who got "No Regets" or some variation on it, though I've only seen the pictures on Facebook. She got the intentional misspelling because it was supposed to be clever, because she's a writer, though I think she actually works in a coffee shop. Delicious, slayer9019, ironchef and 2 others 5 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/3858-misspelled-words/#findComment-67530 Share on other sites
chrisnoluck
yeah i saw a few "no regerts" tattoos but they all seemed to be purposely misspelled as a joke. there are a few girls who got the usual "first tattoo, bible scripture verse on the ribs" deal and atleast 3 of them have a misspelled word included. Sounds like the average 20something: "I went to school for X, but right now I'm doing Y and not actually using any of the skills I (or my parents) paid tens of thousands of dollars for..." el twe
It's a very real (and very funny) problem. A friend of a friend had a big chest piece in olde english with a typo right below the throat, I think he got it covered recently. I have some small text in my first tattoo that I had the artist add to the original photo that was almost misspelled due to my crappy handwriting but he had me double and triple check it all so I was able to avoid that embarrassment (although I was nervous the whole time he was doing that part that it would still be wrong). Seems like she's got a bad case of "Hipster Irony".
