I'm visiting Portland for my first time later this year, and I was wondering if anyone on LST was familiar with any good tattoo shops in Portland or if there's any shop that is highly recommended there? Thanks in advance

Artwork Rebels is a good shop, Atlas, Scapegoat, Mr. Tattoo, and I am pretty sure that Scott Harrison still tattoos out of his own place. I think that you can contact him through his website SACS AKIMBO!!!. I am sure there are more good shops there, but these are the ones I am most familiar with.

Thinking about planning a trip to visit a friend of wife in spencervile, ohio the first week of september. We will be driving from ct. I know mr. Flatmo is in cinncinatti but From what my wife explained cincinnati is 3 hrs away from where we'd be staying and after all that driving I'm not sure if I would be in any shape to make the drive to see mr flatmo, if he even has any openings. Can someone referr someone to me either near spencerville, ohio or maybe even someone that would be on the way up there?

Fyi if anyone is ct check out lucky soul tattoo. Great group of artists that work in that shop and they are very friendly.

STAYTRUE tattoo is a private shop in Las Vegas. Clark North is who I go to and his website is www.Clarknorthtattoo.com. Great guy and does really nice stuff. The other artist are quality as well.

It is Vegas!! Hard to have a schedule while hanging there. I recently move from Las Vegas to Scottsdale, Arizona. I don't know first hand but I have heard good things from a place called Studio 21.

I would agree 100% with Avery. I really like getting tattooed by Mike V at Mr Tattoo, who also tattoos on wednesday at Artwork Rebels. My buddy Ross Carlson tattoos at artwork rebels a couple days a week as well.

If you have any issue getting in at any of these places Imperial Tattoo is also a good shop pretty close to northwest Portland, Mike V used to work there before Seth opened Mr Tattoo.

I would love some recomendations for an artist or shop in the Palm Beach County Florida area. I am looking to get my first tattoo and have decided on some interpretation of a phoenix in black and grey. I dont have a huge budget but want something of quality. Any and all input appreciated.

@Johnny - Hey man welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I can't give recommendations for artists in your area, but what I would suggest is finding the artist you want, the idea of the tattoo you want, get the two together in the same room, AND THEN figure out what the budget will be ;)

Wait until you have the money for what you want, from whom you want it and the end result will be a lot better. Utilise the board as a really good reference for quality images and amazing tattooers and your first tattoo is going to kick some ass!

@Duffa - Good advice for sure. Unfortunately, the budget is fairly fixed for the preservation of my marriage. I have a little wiggle room but not too much. I have a pretty good idea of what I want now but the size and location will be dictated by price. The biggest challenge is picking an artist. There are several shops around here and all of the pictures are starting to look pretty similar. That's why I am hoping for some good recomendations.
