I just sat for my longest and it was only 4 hours with 1 bathroom break only. I could have gone for another hour, but I was chewing on painkillers anyway and we agreed to wrap it up at the shop's regular closing time.

8 hours on my ribs with one 30 minute break to eat. It hurt pretty bad, but I was still able to hold conversations during it. And yeah I also forgot about the pain after a couple days.

Sounds rough, don't think I could sit that long. Still waiting for that shishi pic btw :p

wholly momma! depends on what part of the body its on for me. Smaller pieces seem longer when its in a tender area. larger work I just get lost and don't pay attention. The fat handles were only a few hours (with a bit more to go,) christ almighty it felt like an eternity. but over all, four hours or so would be the most. This year I will be getting a bit of hand poked work, I am curious on how much is completed in "x" amount of time.

When I was Getting my arm outlined ( wrist to elbow, WWII Dog Fight scene by Kyle Oxford at read st. tattoo) it took 6 hours for just the outline and then i sat for 6 more hours to get alot of the shading and color done, but its still un finished.

@polliwog just got done my appt with Ron. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, but my appointment was only like 3 hrs so keep that in mind. Only part that sucked was a few lines close to the elbow ditch, other than that, not really different from my outer arm.

My longest Tattoo session was on my chest piece, it was 6.5 hours. The session that felt like the longest was a 6 hour session on my ribs. Those two sessions were only half an hour difference, so i figured they were close enough to throw them both in.

I have 10 hours on my left, not all done at one sitting, and it wasn't too bad at all. I actually feel asleep for 2 hours during the outline. It was a different story with adding the color. I handled it but it did start to sting like hell.
