Face tatty's like whoa

Can I suggest some words for you?

"I do laser removal, here's my card."

Ha, true. Thing is, it's a well done tattoo, and sure, it will evoke a lot of stares and gasps and people will point their fingers. Nearly 18 years ago it was 1995 and I was 16, had all kinds of metal in my face, could stick my fingers through my ears and was on my way to a 2ga barbell in my tongue. I was also the second person in my high school that was tattooed and got drug into the guidance counselors office, was told to explain why I was mutilating my body.

As it turns out, I was also making acrylic captive bead body jewelery and plugs and had spent more than my fair share of time in tattoo shops, so my reply was:

Why are your ears pierced?

The specialist that was called it told me her mother had them done to her when she was a child, so I went down the whole "wow your mom mutilated you when you couldn't even make up your own mind or say no" route with her, followed by the "oh it's OK because your mom did it to you and ear lobes are considered OK for women to pierce." Keep in mind, this is before it was common place to see guys with both lobes done. Things where very different back then.

It's shocking, discomforting to look at, new, strange, different. Doesn't mean she needs it removed, should be called out or made fun of, it actually looks like a half decent tattoo and clearly she wants to make a statement. Sadly, most people out there don't even know what Timmy B has tattoo'd on his face, what it means or why it's so controversial Announcing the Timmy B Machine, a Full Sized Liner | Custom Tattoo Machines | - and people are doing these "smaller" face tattoos on a very regular basis.

I don't know, when the article starts with "About a month ago, Rouslan Toumaniantz, a well known and sometimes notorious Belgium-based tattoo artist (of Tattoo Box in Kortrijk), and Lesya, a designer living at the time in Saransk, a city in central Russia started talking via chat (Rouslan speaks fluent Russian) and realized they had a lot in common, and quickly began falling head over heels in love" and then the next step is the dude tattooing his name on her face, I think they should both be called out and made fun of, because that is some bullshit right there.

I read the article before commenting, and the first thing that struck me was if they are so much "in love", maybe the hot ticket would be to wait, oh, I dunno, maybe three or four months before tattooing shit all over her face? I think the guy is lame, and would bet money he moves on right quick, now that he's made his mark, as it were.

Just cause it's new and different doesn't mean it should be done.

And FWIW, I was an 13 y.o. with a pierced (left) ear and tattoos in 1967, and an 18 y.o. with a pierced nipple and even more tattoos in 1972. Believe me, things were WAY different back then.

Seems like they wanted attention and got it. They are not hurting anyone, and she's a consenting adult...so whatever, what's done is done. She couldn't move it to her stomach because apparently she's planning a bio-mech bodysuit. If she regrets it, she'll have to deal w/that. Do I personally think it's a bad idea, yeah, and seems a bit too possessive for my taste-the marking of "property" aspect of it, but then a lot of people (plainskins) think my tattoos were a bad idea, too, and they are wrong!

She may technically be a "consenting adult", but at 18, 19, 22, whatever, getting your face covered with the name of some scumdum who has already disfigured AT LEAST one other Woman is just not too bright.

And why do I get the feeling that the very people who defend this shit would be the first to say how terrible it is when a scooter-Lady gets a "Property of ---" tattoo?!?!?!?!?

What can I say...if I was that girls' daddy, I'd blow the tattoer's head off.

She will regret it. Doing a tattoo based on strong emotions is always not the best idea.

She wants to tattoo his name on her face now, in a few months she would be happy with just a heart with his name on it, after that she would be glad with only his name on her wrist, and maybe given enough time she would tattoo a severed head resembling him with the words bastard. All this to say that emotions change, so called love most of all, but tattoos stay forever.

Maybe I'm being too much of a cynic, but I believe she will indeed regret it, and that this guy should not be allowed to tattoo no one else ever again.
