I'm headed to Seattle for a week in the beginning of October, looking for traditional/folk style work. I saw some suggestions early in this thread but they seem older.

Who's the person to go see, and what shop are they at?

If you are looking for traditional it's hard to go wrong with Liberty Tattoo.

Sara Purr out of Rabid Hands is good and might have walk in availability Instagram.

Hannah Sandstrom at Dark Age Tattoo Instagram

Of course there is always slavetotheneedle Instagram

A ton of good artists out of there. I particularly like Elijah Cole, Clark Kent, kiwi matt, Krystjan Olsen.

There are more, but that should give you something to chew on.

@brunt Check out:

Chris Ayalin / Liberty Tattoo (also Emily Nelson)

Chris Adams / Fistful of Metal

Hannah Sandstrom / Dark Age (also Derek Noble, Jesse Roberts)

Thomas Graham / Supergenius Tattoo

Sara Purr / Rabid Hands (also Jerad Shealey)

I feel like there are quite a few "alsos" that I've missed, but bottom line is you can get a solid tattoo in Seattle.

Liberty is the spot for traditional.

I stopped by Dark Age Tattoo and Supergenius today. Both are rad shops.

Talking to the folks at Dark Age I was surprised that Derek Noble and Jesse Roberts only have a 2 month waiting list. The other artists are as few as a couple of weeks. Definitely a place to stop by if you want something kickass before Christmas.

the shop is spacious. they are really friendly and nice. jillian is who tattood me, and she was nice..never even took a break during our session. we started a bit late, but she tattood me longer as well (and didnt charge me for the extra half hour) and also cut down the price a bit to make the taxes a bit nicer on my wallet.

i actually made a post about the (unfinished) tattoo. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-advice/5918-how-my-tattoo-turning-out-also-i-would-like-opinions-what-colors-do.html#post102030

I'll be stopping in after work around 8:30 with some cupcakes and positive vibes. yar!

I know Jason Kundell at Artwork Rebels has already been mentioned, but everyone else at the shop is fantastic as well. Josiah Laughlin, Gordon Combs, Jeff P, and Ross Carlson are all completely epic tattooers.

+1,000,000 for Atlas.

My wife and I managed to snag some small walk-ins from Cheyenne Sawyer in March. Everyone there was really great: a super accommodating, friendly, no BS shop full of heavy hitters. Worth the trip just to gawk at the all the flash (among 100s of others they had some super cool Scott Harrison stuffs)...

10/10 would get tattooed again

Mods: let me know if you think the pic of all that flash is not appropriate. Happy to take it down if needed.

Too late, I just traced that woman in the canoe and tattooed it on my thigh.

But yeah, I need a Dan Gilsdorf tattoo ASAP.

And a Jeff P one for that matter.

I'm pretty sure Dan just left for Europe, and plans to be there for the next few months. Make a plan to get tattooed by Cheyenne. Then make your way up to Vancouver. The Canadian dollar is shit right now so you could come up here and live like a king.

Duly noted! I def want a Cheyenne tattoo, especially after @9Years glowing review of his tattoo experience.

I would also like to know as I live in Portland. I have used a couple shops here. One was Cypress Tattoo in Hillsboro and a dude named Justin Ryan (forgot the shop as he did my tattoo as the convention) who is out of Eugene. Looking for solid traditional tattoo artist.
