Hogrider
For those of you that live alone, how do you perform after care for a back piece? There are some places that I just can't reach to wash and put A&D or Coco Butter on until it's fully healed. Thanks. David Flores
For those of you that live alone, how do you perform after care for a back piece? There are some places that I just can't reach to wash and put A&D or Coco Butter on until it's fully healed.Thanks. I just lather it as best I can and stand under the hottest water I can for a couple extra minutes to ensure all blood is washed off. Same for lotion and ointment, just tried to get the majority of tattoo. My wife is going to be out of town for two weeks and I will be getting a session done on my back and the back of my thigh outlined so I guess I will be winging it again. MGblues
^^^^ What David said. I have a Missus, but I still ended up doing the aftercare myself. It's no biggie. The infernal itching on the other hand... writerAZ 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/3193-back-piece-care/#findComment-54592 Share on other sites

J4ck987
It can be a nightmare getting all the areas of your back creamed up, it is do-able though! I have my back outlined at the moment and will be getting it shaded and coloured soon,I know that will be even more difficult!! Tittleton
From the guys that have back pieces on the ship they've told me to get some syrann wrap, put it on the door, put some lotion on the syrann wrap and then rub your back against the door Tuchaka 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/3193-back-piece-care/#findComment-58444 Share on other sites
MoistTowelette
I got this shampoo/lotion applicator with a curved handle from bed bath and beyond that works like a charm. Was recommended to me by someone from another forum. I'll try to find pics of it, I highly recommend it. - - - Updated - - - i found it CaitlinBurnett10 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/3193-back-piece-care/#findComment-59128 Share on other sites
lasereast
It is normal to undergo bruising, burning, whiteness, redness, crusts and swelling for 1-2 weeks after the surgery. However if the area gets excessively inflamed, or a rash or small pimples develop, don't neglect seek medical attention immediately.
