i was in his hong kong shop in '91 and that was qiute an experience. between the what looked to be young gang kids in the waiting room playing some kind of card game to the flash that covered the shop. i had been in quite a few tattoo shops by then and had tattoos, but seeing that kind of street shop in hong kong was something i won't forget. my hats off to the old man. RIP.

Rest in Peace Pinky . I was one of the people doing crappy tattoos down the street from him at Tattoos r Us in 1994. Got to see his work all the time back then. Always heard how he could draw dragons simultaneously with both hands!. Hope to make it as long as him. Another 37 years of tattooing and I'll be there.

Crazy it has been a whole year since Pinky has passed. First pic was taken at Dragon Tattoo in 1983, second in 2008 when State of Grace Convention was in San Jose. No matter how many times my boss told him he lives in Oregon, Pinky insisted the whole time he lives in Washington. RIP PINKY!
