JapSun
Good Afternoon All, Here is my suituation.. I found a tattoo that I loved and I want to get, I gave it my usual 6mn cooling off peroid to see if I truly want that tat for ever and when I went to buy the design I could not locate the website.......... And stupid me did not save the website in my Favs. I have gone throw all my histroy and nothing. The only thing I can remember about the website is; Large list of category's A-Z on the left hand side. Back ground was a yellow/brown/gold colour. Pretty sure it had green in the heading. You had to pay for the tattoos When you selected a pic to take a closer look it didn't have the usual water marks, it had a few lines moving up and down obscuring the view. The tattoo I liked was a black rising sun with a phoenix behind it, between the sun beams the phoenix was detailed and areas where the beams over lapped was solid black. It was under the category Japanese Attached is a 2s rough design I just made, but its an idea of what I am talking about. The attach pic does it no justic as the real one is black with so much detail I will easily spend 1600 to get it done !!! Thats how bad I want it It is non of the following websites. Tattoo Design Gallery - Downloadable Tattoos - Free Ideas for Tribal, Butterfly, Dragon, Fairy, Flower, Star, Celtic, Lower Back, and More Tattoos The Tattoo Gallery - The Tattoo Gallery is one of Australia's oldest working tattoo studios Tattoos, Tattoo Designs - Gallery and tattoo ideas for Tribal, Celtic tattoos, tattoo flash and more. Best Tattoo Designs | Categorized Thousands of Tattoos Tattoo Ideas, Tattoo Designs, Online Tattoo Maker, Tattoo Pictures - TattooDesign.com I have been in contact with Tattoofinder and they said they have a huge update of their website so it might be them tho I have looked threw all there tats and no luck. If some one know the artist and knows the pic please help its freaking amazing and I want it !!!!!! gougetheeyes
Trevor McStay at Dynamic, for starters. Instead of finding a design you like, take the idea to a tattooer or a shop you think you might be into and let them come up with something. hogg, SStu, Iwar and 2 others 5 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/2773-lost-tattoo/#findComment-46538 Share on other sites

Mr. Smith
Buying tattoo designs online is a scam. Do what everyone else here has said and find someone who makes Japanese tattoos that you really like and describe what you liked about that design to them. You'll end up with a way better tattoo than if you brought in a design that you're married to (which may not make a good tattoo at all) because you paid for it. Don't be afraid to make a long trip...I routinely drive 8+ hours round trip to get my back worked on, and have driven a lot more than that and crossed borders to get tattooed by people I dig. Tattoo road trips are a blast. irezumi, jade1955, slayer9019 and 4 others 7 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/2773-lost-tattoo/#findComment-46550 Share on other sites

slayer9019
I think you really should go to a shop. You do realize that part of what you are paying for is to have a real live artist draw up whatever your brain can think of. On top of that they will have to "redraw" the tattoo at least once (think they are "drawing" the tattoo on you", otherwise to tracing paper then to your skin). Getting ideas from online is not a bad idea. You can hone in on an idea that you like (for example, looking up a bunch of dragons). You can print out some references to bring to your artist so you can visualize what what you were thinking. Remember images sometimes look killer on paper but you are not a piece of paper. You are an organic, moving, not even close to flat, pre-colored (skin tone) object. Your artist will take all of this into account with your provided reference material to give you a killer tattoo. David Flores
Funny if I want to find source material for a tattoo the last thing I would look at is some bullshit flash web site. Most of the stuff is drawn on the computer and isn't even tattooable, not to mention the designs are horrible. I usually find non tattoo related reference if I am looking to get a tattoo drawn for me. If I want a particular bird or flower tattooed on me, I would find a book that has some good illustrations or photographs of them, or maybe just run the idea by the tattooer see if they already have the necessary reference material or even need it. Paying for a tattoo design on the internet is about as stupid as paying for porn on the internet. irezumi, Brock Varty, slayer9019 and 3 others 6 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/2773-lost-tattoo/#findComment-46631 Share on other sites

irezumi
Gonna mention Owen Williams. Excellent at jap stuff, and a well-rounded tattooer for sure. I'd get something from him if I was able to/still had enough room left. Owen Williams and Trevor of course. That's a no-brainer win. A website is in no way an excuse for consultation. irezumi
An in-person consultation will make that happen, and you will probably be more excited with the resulting design if you simply give the basic idea to your artist and let them run with it. Don't try to micro-manage how they draw it. We will be disappointed if you don't use one of the recommended artists we listed!
