hogg
"When did you buy and eat fruity pebbles?""What?" "There are fruity pebbles all over the couch!" "O those are just skin flakes from my healing tattoo." ps. fruity pebbles are a great cereal and i haven't eaten them for years. I also call those fruity pebbles! Iwar
I also call those fruity pebbles! We don't have those over here, so I had to google it. Pleadco
Getting into bed my wife made a wrinkled face, wiped the sheets off and said, "darn cat is tracking litter onto the bed." She obviously didn't look too close..... rozone
Every single one of my tattoos is black & grey, so I don't have the luxury of the "fruity pebbles" experience. Instead, my girlfriend calls my flaking black tattoo remnants "hamster poop". Equally as breakfast-appropriate, if you ask me. cltattooing and Pugilist 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/2689-in-this-thread-we-commiserate-about-healing-our-fresh-tattoos/?page=9#findComment-72600 Share on other sites
semele
It's probably always this bad and I just immediately forget as soon as it's no longer a problem, but my back is ITCHY AS FUCKING HELL. So a couple minutes ago I was in the print shop, noticed I was alone, and started to slap my back like a crazy person. This was of course the moment that someone decided to lead in a tour group of BFA applicants and their parents. I'm guessing not many of them will be declaring printmaking majors. KBeee
Yesssss, i have been looking for this thread! I am three weeks into healing my calves and chest from SFO and I have never had anything ITCH so bad ever.....like catch-myself-scratching-in-the-middle-of-the-night-while-I-am-sleeping itchy. I walk around all day like Tyrone from the Chappelle show. Ima go and buy the anti-itch Aveeno today. I'll let y'all know how that goes. On the plus side, I have a new empathy for crackheads. Ummmm, that's good right? Cork
The part right near the arm pit where the arm meets the upper back. Pyzik
Not sure if it's what the guy used on my arm to clean everything or if it's cause he shaved it but everywhere he shaved itches like frigging crazy! Not that tattoo itself, mostly around it and there is little bumps. Ugh. Pyzik
Tattoo healing itch is the worst... the worst.Indeed! It was much worse than getting the tattoo. After getting it I thought "that was nothing, I'll be getting more". But the itching will make me think about it. HaydenRose
Indeed! It was much worse than getting the tattoo. After getting it I thought "that was nothing, I'll be getting more". But the itching will make me think about it. I always get so psyched for a tattoo and completely forget about healing it and all of the fun that goes along with that... I'm starting to catch on now (after 6 years) and scheduled my next one for the end of the work week :) cltattooing, Fala and Pyzik 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/2689-in-this-thread-we-commiserate-about-healing-our-fresh-tattoos/?page=9#findComment-80323 Share on other sites
Fala
Haha @HaydenRose! I usually end up scheduled for Sundays or Mondays - for some reason a Thursday or Friday has never worked out for me. Oh well! Today I have non-stick gauze pads with ace bandages wrapped around my leg. I'd take getting tattooed over the itch any day of the week. Kahlan
Getting something done during the winter is brutal just because of the extra dry skin. Continued my leg sleeve (which coincidentally are snowflakes) aaaaaaand I'm suffering. There's not enough Lubriderm to support my sanity. :( Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/2689-in-this-thread-we-commiserate-about-healing-our-fresh-tattoos/?page=9#findComment-80461 Share on other sites
Colored Guy
I have a big one from 2 days ago, the healing process begins. I almost always get my ink done from November thru April. Oddly enough, winter is a dead spot for the shop I use. Most people get tattooed in the warmer months. TaeTae
6 Days of standard mild soap and bepanthen. Normally I switch to Palmers cocoa butter on the 8th day and today I ran out of bepanthen. Buy a new tube? Or straight for the Cocoa butter? The skin is just about finished pealing Ragen, Colored Guy and hogg 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/2689-in-this-thread-we-commiserate-about-healing-our-fresh-tattoos/?page=9#findComment-81424 Share on other sites
HettyKet
Just dropping in for a quick moan about my elbow. Had the upper 2/3 done yesterday which hurt a bit, obviously. But fuuuuuuk is it sore today. Not to mention hot and swollen. Oww. Am well chuffed with it though :o - - - Updated - - - here, just after clean up with quite a bit of warping from the swelling and the position it was taken from. The one above it its not quite settled in yet. Diehardonvhs
Healing a whole load of bum-work, and back of thigh work. Not happy. Sitting, bending over, crouching, walking, all less fun than usual. All in all a right pain in the arse (sigh). HettyKet
heck, that really must be sore! Do you have a photo? Not had that area worked on at all yet, all things in time. Had a couple of other pieces coloured yesterday (same arm) but the elbow is distracting completely from any discomfort they might be wanting to give. Bonus. - - - Updated - - - Er yeah, sorry, probably shouldn't be asking for photos of a stranger's arse... Omar
My shoulder is healing from a session 2,5 weeks ago. It peeled nicely but now i'm developing a mild rash around some places.
