Upcoming Tattoos

Getting some work done by Bert Krak in two weeks. I'm definitely getting one piece on my leg, and am considering having him do a small-filler piece on my arm...it's going to be somewhat dependent on if he has time to do the second one, but mainly what the cost for the two will be.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about getting tattooed by him.

Just got in with Timothy Hoyer for December. Thank you LST member for answering my questions about Tim. Much appreciated on that.

Between now and then I will be seeing Rich Pineda (confirmed) and Luke Wessman (waiting on confirmation) in California this October.

Then hopefully I can start saving my money?!?! The tattoo world got me by the balls LMAO!!!

This isn't necessarily my upcoming tattoo, but it doesn't warrant its own thread, really. My grandpa said if he got another tattoo that it would be twin screws on his cheeks. Had a good laugh at that. Hopefully he does it next time he's in the states. Maybe we can get grandson grandfather tattoos. How rad would that be??!

That would be so cool! Sailors have historically had tattoos that depicted their travels and ships. My first was my dolphins.

@pidjones Nice. Were they Victorian dolphins? Any pics? Also, my grandpa served in Korea, so they're fitting. Not that I think it's on ya sailor thing to get twin screws.

First photo in my gallery, I believe. Copied from my Navy dolphins and patron pin. I actually pinned them on black velvet, photographed them, and emailed her the photo to go from for her sketch and the stencil.

I have a consult coming up with Sam Warren at Dreams Collide in Lancaster, PA...everyone at that shop is pretty fantastic in my opinion, but I think Sam is the best choice for what I want. I told him a skeleton riding a decaying zombie horse and both of them in medieval armor. So it might turn out cool. :p

I know I shouldn't care about what people think, but I do.

I want to get the word 'euphoria' tattooed above my elbow. It's the name of my favorite song of all time, and also is motivation to always strive to be as happy as I can be.

Well, a friend of mine said not to get it, because the word euphoria is associated with drugs, and that people may think I'm reckless or a partier if they saw it.

Is this true? What do you think?

Get what you want - screw what other people think. It's not like you're getting "racist" or something more questionable. Just find someone who does nice script and make it readable. Maybe there is some imagery that you can include so it doesn't sit there all by itself?

...and, welcome!

(pssst - start an intro thread :D )

With plenty of thought, I'm looking to add to my left leg a few space and aeronautic themed tattoos. I enjoyed my past work in NASA from '85 to '98 and have loved this EVA image. I found a really good portraits artist that could pull this off in B&G on my outer calf. I think it would look best without the Earth and just some black shading around it to set off the white suit. Maybe remove some of the unneeded straps across the stomach area.

A Flying Tigers AVG tiger across and above the knee:

And on the inner calf, a classic WWII nose art pinup. She'll have to be a brunette like my wife to keep me out of the dog house. Something original but a little like this:

@The Tig = you could always just tell her it's an ode to Southern Star Bombshell Blonde . . .

bigg.gif Yeah, I don't think she'll go for that! Thanks to her first hubby who cheated on her constantly, she gets a bit jealous and defensive.

I'm thinking of using the local B-17's nose art as an inspiration, brunette version, of course! ;)
