Planning on getting my first tattoo hopefully before summer starts. If not I will be getting it in the fall. I think I am going to get a deer skull and antlers on my chest or back. Me and my father are huge hunters and I thought it would be cool to get my first buck tattooed on me to remember that day. I am thinking about doing something like this one. Any opinions on this?

I saw Gogue last Friday at the summit convention and he was just working on backpiece after backpiece. Man is a machine. I got to look through his portfolio and see some cool ones I hadn't seen online and though he was really busy with everything he took a second to say hi and seemed like a real nice down to earth dude. Have fun with your leg, I'm excited to see your progress!

yeah that's what I thought too, I feel like I just got lucky as he does not take new clients too regularly since he only takes full backs or legs and sleeves

Hey everyone, it's been a minute. I'm really sorry for denying you all my deep insights and inimitable perspective this past year or so. I haven't been posting mainly because I haven't gotten tattooed since January of last year, but that's about to change, as I just booked a spot with Matt Arriola during his visit to Philly next month.

Nice. If I didn't already have a sitting on my arm that weekend, I would've tried to get in.

Just got back... Had an awesome session but things didn't go as I hope. Very bad day personally. Sugar drop, Son got beat up in school by some bully's, and was only able to get 3hrs in.... Had to run to the hospital to go see my son. What a fucked up day.

What little I did get to see looked fantastic in person, I did try to keep my nose out of their business as I'm sure it's uncomfortable being basically naked in a room full of people but as you can imagine instagram and even high definition photos do his work no justice.

Taking a trip down to LA to get tattooed by Shon Lindauer at High Seas Tattoo Parlor in Hollywood. The trip will be April 18th - 20th. If anyone has recommendations for restaurants in the area, they're more than welcome. Also, if anyone wants to meet up in LA, shoot me a pm. Would be cool to meet some more LSTers for tacos or something. Heard a lot about LA's Mexican food.

Got the invite to go meet Shad at Steve's studio when he's here to visit my city end-April. Hopeful that I can align a small piece from Shad and then get back to my back w/ Steve, colour and details in May. Going to get OllieXXX to touchup and fill in some cracks on my leg tattoos too. Going to try and get out to the Kootenay's this summer to chill on my inlaws farm and hookup some additional work from Shawn O'Connor. This afternoon I go in to have my last tattoo worked on. I have been unhappy with it, both design and execution - some my fault for not stopping him at the stencil review, (but I thought he would correct flaws in it as he worked) and some his execution. If he is willing to make two corrections, it should be good enough that I can live with it. It is on my forearm, and I've worn long sleeves (well, it has been weather for it) ever since. I sure hope he will fix it. Besides the cost of laser, I'm too damn old to wait for it to be blasted off and replaced.

Got a couple of weeks break from my big back sessions, so with the time off I am getting my kneecaps hammered by Danny Rossiter at Rain City tattoo studio in Manchester. Pray for me. I'll upload some progress pictures next week, getting some pretty big pieces so it wont be done in one session!
