Cover Up by Tony Velasquez, Ink Divine Tattoo Company, San Pedro, CA

I had a 8000 year old armband (ok, not 8000...more like 22) that was horrible and not pretty and I hated it. This is what Tony turned it into. I love love love it!

@Dan S Thats a classic , reminds me of the winged dragons I often see on O.G.s in my part of the world . Interesting that Tom Berg was an English tattooist .

@Dan S this is the type of thing I was alluding to in my earlier post , often seen in my hood especially on the forearm .

Man, kyle, you score the best pix! That type of dragon was pretty popular around Chi when I was a shorty, saw 'em, like oyu said, forearm mostly. I suppose it was Cliff Raven more than anyone that put paid to that type of work in this area-he pretty much brought Japanese style tattooing to Chicago.

Might be old-fashioned, but I like it!

That must have been the most votes in a month right there LSTers...We had a neck and neck race on the first page for the lead then scrolling through the pages it looked like it was going to be another tie........Until I got to a dragon done @Nick Colella at Chicago Tattoo Company (post #34) and the win went to @Dan S

Congratulations Dan on not only a great new tattoo but a new t-shirt!!!

(Dan PM me your shirt size and male or female shirt along with your address.)

Bring on September's Best Tattoos of the Month......

Thanks all, I appreciate it...doesn't take much talent to sit in a chair and let a master-tattooer do his thing on you, but it is gratifying to know that people who know tattoos appreciate the work.

And @CultExciter and @Reyeslv, next month! Both of your pieces are excellent!

Again, thank you.

Congrats, @Dan S! Well deserved.

And @CultExciter and @Reyeslv: consider your awesome tattoos to be your "consolation prizes." :)

Hahaha. Oh absolutely. It's just so rad that people are getting such awesome tattoos.
