Hi,
New to the forum here and looking to get my first (and possibly only) tattoo. My father passed away recently and I would like to get a tattoo to honor him and I was reading about a practice of mixing cremated ashes into tattoo ink.
What do you think of this and how is it actually done? I called a couple of places near me and asked if they did it. One said no and the other said to put a request in online. Perhaps it's not that common? I read into it a little more and found out that most likely a tattoo shop would not mix the ashes into the ink themselves, but there would be a company that does that and then the tattoo shop would use that ink?
I'm not looking to go cheap, so my first question is, if this is a possibility, would a tattoo artist want to work with third party ink like this? Would it effect the quality of their work?
Thanks in advance for any help and advice you might have.
