I don't have good pictures of any of them but I have a portrait of Johnny Cash on my leg, used to have a heart with a ring of fire around it on my arm (getting covered post-divorce), I have ROCK&ROLL done in goofy bubble letters as a tramp stamp, and I have "Dirty White Boy" tattooed right below my belt line.

I realise this is an old thread, but given that I recently started getting tattoos again largely because I started going to see live bands again; and given that those two things made me decide that even though I'm getting old, I'm not so old that I need to behave old; and given the band that started this off had a logo that I thought worked as a tattoo; and given I'm now kind of engaged in filling an arm up with band/song-related stuff...well, this seemed like a relevant thread altogether.

great thread! no band tattoos yet, though i had some ideas.

when i was 18 y i wanted to have that alkaline trio logo so badly! nowadays not so much anymore. what i can't get out of my head are some jawbreaker tributes, like a bottle of booze with a banner that says "kiss the bottle", or a pack of cigs with the line "cigarettes/they fill the gaps/in our empty days/in our broken teeth" out of that same song. i also found this, which seems to be a mirrored tattoo of the syringe that is on the back of my a jawbreaker shirt i had back in the day that i unfortunately once lost in a drunken rage:

i could see that syringe done in a more traditional style or maybe stipple-shaded to make it look more antique... this is actually one of the next tattoos i want to get done as soon as i find the right artist to pull it off.

anyway, i could cover my whole body in jawbreaker references i guess. i just love that band to death.

I have the Minor Threat black sheep (like many others) on my foot. It was my first tattoo. Now I'm thinking about getting an AFI one, possibly on the other foot. They've been my favorite band for 10 years, and I think it's about time to memorialize that. I don't want to go too obvious with it, I don't think album art or lyrics text is really my style. Thinking about getting a traditional style candle/rose or something, not sure what exactly yet.

1 VNV Nation (kinda, I have the alchemy symbols for mercury and phosphorous on my thumbs)
