jade1955
Outside upper and lower arm for me. Upper part of the chest a couple of inches below the collar bone was pretty easy going as well. Mind you I'm a fat fuck, so I've got a fair bit of padding. Duffa
For myself personally, the lower arms have always been a breeze no matter what. Its as if I almost glide into the studio looking forward to those sittings! Outer arm and top of my shoulder where also relatively easy... Someone once told me that the elbow was really really painful (just incase - really), and so before we started the session that would hit that area I asked my mate who was tattooing me what he thought. He said "it doesn't hurt... it just feels wrong". So an hour or so into it, he's moved my arm into position and I knew what was coming, or at least thought I did... I looked up at him, didn't need to say a word (the weird look on my face would have said much more than words could have) he looked at me and just said "told you". It didn't hurt, it just felt wrong... Oh and my calf was a breeze, BUT the friend who did that piece has one of the lightest touches I've ever come across Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-13225 Share on other sites
Mel Noir
I think it all depends on who's doing it, to be honest. My lower arm, on the inside, was a real breeze though. When it comes up to the inside of your elbow it hurts a little, but other than that I thought it was nothing. With that being said though, I hadn't seen my tattoo artist for a little while, so my mind may have been taken off the whole thing by our constant chatting, haha. My inner bicep really hurt with one tattoo, and didn't hurt at all with another, so maybe I'm just really sensitive to however someone's working more than anything. Two different tattooers have hit those spots, you see. deaddreamnation
i'd have to vote on anywhere on the outside of the arms. The top of my thighs weren't bad, but maybe because i did most of that myself while learning to tattoo. Concentrating on trying to get good lines maybe blocked out the pain...haha...and i still ended up with janky lines...hahah dari 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-13251 Share on other sites
Ursula
for me the easy ones were elbow, shins, inner arm i kind of feel like the people who ask where to get it so it hurts the least shouldn't be getting it at all... like someone mentioned earlier, the least painful place for a tattoo is on someone else! gougetheeyes, Mel Noir and deaddreamnation 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-13262 Share on other sites

David Flores
Top of my shoulder was pretty easy. It was a nice surprise as I am running out of easy spots to get tattooed. backwardsn
legs hurt a lot more, i hate it. as for easiest, believe it or not, the sides of my neck. I am in 100% agreement with this statement... klauskosmas
Easiest spots for me were Inner Bicep. Upper arm hurt way more than inner bicep for me Lower Legs. Except shins. slayer9019
calfs were pretty damn easy. Weirdly my bicep was the worst so far (and bleeds like a mofo) Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-27671 Share on other sites
Reyeslv
My Back was the easiest to handle so far. But that was outline only, haven't done the shading yet. Biceps weren't bad either..... Never had the ribs or Stomach, I've been told those don't tickle..... Dan Martin
I believe the nerve endings on the torso are more sensitive as to protect your organs from being damaged or at least to let you realize the severity of an injury in that area. Boney areas feel more like road rash ( think skinned knee ), muscle areas aren't too bad but fatty areas can feel like they're being cut. Areas of your body that get banged up semi often (outside of you arms) are going to generally hurt less than the back of your knees or inside of your arms. And... A skilled artist will hurt less than an amateur. Duffa
@Reyeslv - Serious? (in regards to your back) That gives me some hope... or do you just have some crazy pain threshold? CaptCanada
@Duffa - It really just depends on you. You hit alot of different areas when you get your back done. Worst part of it so far for me is lower central back (tramp stamp), ass crack, and the very top of your thigh bottom of your ass. Reyeslv
@Reyeslv - Serious? (in regards to your back) That gives me some hope... or do you just have some crazy pain threshold? Not sure on the my pain threshold..... but when I was getting my back done I was lying on my stomach so I found that helped to relax. Don't get me wrong it didn't tickle  and it was the outline, which I find more uncomfortable then shading..... I'm getting the shading for the back done soon so hopefully I won't be posting in "Most painful spots to get tattooed!" :p Duffa 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-27709 Share on other sites
Duffa
@CaptCanada & @Reyeslv - cheers guys :) Its interesting that most people have very different stories about what the worst part of their back was? Some say kidneys, some say the trap stamp are and then usually the butt always come into it haha. Really, there is only one way for me to find out... and the plan is to start that this year ;) Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-27737 Share on other sites
Micky Vansittart
Just putting my (delayed) pennies-worth in. Ankles are a killer. A killer! Back of calf was OK and the top of my foot was fine - just a tiny spot near the toes pinched a bit. By far the easiest was my upper chest - above the boob, below the collar bone. Not even a discomfort. A lovely day out to the stabby-needle-inky shop. Suiren
Behind the ear was pain free pretty much... I would rank my tattoos like this. 1. Least painful - behind ears. 2. Hand near thumbs 3. Hand under pinkie finger 4. Upper part of wrist 5. Nape 6. Bottom of wrist 7. Lower back - most painful Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-115138 Share on other sites
Tornado6
So far my left side has been much easier than my right side part for part. I definitely prefer single needle work to fillers. And it is easier for me to watch than to not watch. My left bicep was by far the easiest. It did not hurt at all and it healed very easy. It is all single needle, and he has a light hand. Synesthesia
Definitely my shoulder, mostly just a pleasant vibrating feeling. Strangely, my inner bicep was by far the worst. Funny the DRASTIC difference a couple inches makes (that's what she said, hurr hurr). Margarita Yaschenko
I think the outer side of the shoulder, hip - least painfull spot =) Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-115807 Share on other sites

RoryQ
Easiest was my outer forearms, no contest. Top of the feet, thigh and shins were ok too. Dan
side of my neck up to my ear was the last painful, almost no pain at all. Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-115821 Share on other sites
PopsBdog
For me, it was underneath the ring finger for my wedding ring. For my wife where her lower leg meets her ankle hurts the most. She said her ear was a breeze, though the noise while being inked was a trip Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/187-least-painful-spot-for-a-tattoo/?page=2#findComment-115848 Share on other sites
