Lochlan
Who does/did the best panther flash and why? Who does/did the best panther tattoo and why? Is your preference a panther head or whole panther tattoo? How about some panther tattoo pictures? What makes or breaks a good panther tattoo? BoMcConaghie
Mike Wilson seems to be able to make a rad panther without trying very hard. theZoo, Luke Wessman, Ursula and 1 other

Julio Avila
Yeah I'm going with mike as well. Got one and wish I could have gotten itten times as big and on the front of my thigh so I could have watched him tattooing it more. In fact, I'd get the exact same tattoo by him again. justcallmematt
wtjon06
Agreed. Mike Wilson. But a friend has a Zeke panther head that is flawless to say the least.
hogg
I was gonna say Mike, too. Rassier put a mean panther head on me, but he told me that Mike showed him how, so I guess Mike wins again. Scott wins for mountain lions, though. He did the only one I've ever seen (it's on Dan Wysuph).
cigaretteadvocate
jason harms at livewire does some sick panthers as well.
BoMcConaghie
Getting my hand tattooed by Mike this weekend and I had to force myself to NOT get a panther. I have one from him already. Getting a tiger instead. HA! Maybe a panther on the other hand down the road though. Im a sucker for cats.
Patrick
Mike Wilson seems to be able to make a rad panther without trying very hard. His panthers are great. I saw a pic of one recently on a girl's hand. It was the head and a claw (paw?) coming out of a cut. So clean. I'm pretty jealous of whoever that girl is. Patrick
Wow...I just read through the rest of the thread, and it seems like Mike Wilson is the winner on this one so far. Haha.
Perez
Find me one thing Mike Wilson ISN'T the winner on, dude is amazing. Ursula

dari
How about the panther painting by Zach Spurloch from the "How about an art show thread?" I'd love to see it done like that in real life. LST Tattoo Art Show

gougetheeyes
I just covered a panther with a bigger panther the other day. Picture! How'd that big one on your leg heal up? Only caught a glimpse of it after you'd decided to go on a run when it was still fresh.
Avery Taylor
I know that Mike Wilson is probably the panther king, but Bert Krak and Chad Koeplinger do some really nice ones as well. Richard Stell does great cats of all kinds, and on Flickr I have seen a dagger panther head back piece by Scott that is super fucking nice. Also Timothy Hoyer has some really cool ones. Donn
I would go with Richard Stell because he use to have a serval, which is an african wildcat the size of a german shepard and use to go work at a big cat refuge. He is one of those guys who knows animals inside and out, it's because of him I started collecting taxidermy so that I could really study animals and see how they work. I never did get a full body panther from him just a panther/rose/eagle morph about a decade ago, never to late until I run out of room though. Bryan Burk
I think Ed pushed the panther envelope way farther than it had been before, looking at the invisible man book shows it. He really dismantled the image and made it his own. They're really popular now, but I think like when he did Arment's chest, maybe 10 years ago, he was pretty much only tattooer I know doing that stuff at that level (feel free to fill me in anyone). I remember a customer asked me to tattoo one of his Panther/Rose mash-up paintings around that time, and I was really hesitant, like "that's Ed's art, it's his own thing"... times have changed Bob R. also worked really hard to make his own kind of standard 3/4 panther head, and it's cool because it has no neck, but it works great. Really tough to draw, I know cause I was obsessed with it after he put one on me in 98, I spent so much time trying to get it down. for tigers, I think Lehi is pretty much in his own league, with Ed also on that level again the professor
