@Cork, I'm telling you: Craigslist. I have six loadable DB handles and tons (disclaimer: not actually tons) of standard plates for them. I hooked up a 120-lb. DB for Kroc rows and have a pair of 50s lying around at all times. Maybe you can score a full set like I did, including 25-lb. standard plates.

I always feel so guilty buying gym gear. I have no idea why. I think my mindset is that since I am at home now, I should be competent enough to rig something up that works well enough. So buying it is like cheating. I'm an idiot.

Nope. I would never follow a routine from BB.com. Not that I've really researched them at all, but bodybuilders are just as bad with fad workouts as mid life crisis mom's are with fad diets.

Was doing a ton of tri training - endurance cardio.

Kept weight training but it wasn't my focus.

Got back to heavy iron four weeks ago

Doing a 4 week plan going from high reps to lower reps week to week.

I'm in week 4 and can feel the results!

Good news : finished my right pec.

Bad news : now I have to take a few days out of the gym.

Happy this piece is done, but the few days off always suck and I didn't plan this one in a good deload time.

9/10 I agree with you -- also, I'm a huge fan of deloads and rests. This one just fell smack in the middle (by necessity) of a cycle that was progressing nicely. Had a rest programmed in 3 weeks anyway ,so all is well.

nice - but a big be careful to you - low rep deads can be asking for trouble - especially as you get older
