hogg
@Cork, I'm telling you: Craigslist. I have six loadable DB handles and tons (disclaimer: not actually tons) of standard plates for them. I hooked up a 120-lb. DB for Kroc rows and have a pair of 50s lying around at all times. Maybe you can score a full set like I did, including 25-lb. standard plates. Or you could get these and use your oly plates: http://www.amazon.com/Olympic-Dumbbell-Handles-sold-Pair/dp/B002OB2BT6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-4&keywords=OLYMPIC+DUMBBELL+HANDLE Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/1792-lifting-threadtraining-for-the-tattooed-warrior/?page=27#findComment-99696 Share on other sites
Cork
I always feel so guilty buying gym gear. I have no idea why. I think my mindset is that since I am at home now, I should be competent enough to rig something up that works well enough. So buying it is like cheating. I'm an idiot. daveborjes and hogg 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/1792-lifting-threadtraining-for-the-tattooed-warrior/?page=27#findComment-99706 Share on other sites

Cork
This? Bodybuilding.com - Y3T: Neil Hill's 9-Week Hardcore Video Trainer Nope. I would never follow a routine from BB.com. Not that I've really researched them at all, but bodybuilders are just as bad with fad workouts as mid life crisis mom's are with fad diets. hogg 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/1792-lifting-threadtraining-for-the-tattooed-warrior/?page=27#findComment-100582 Share on other sites

Once you get better you can switch it up - just keep doing it! - - - Updated - - - Was doing a ton of tri training - endurance cardio. Kept weight training but it wasn't my focus. Got back to heavy iron four weeks ago Doing a 4 week plan going from high reps to lower reps week to week. I'm in week 4 and can feel the results! CaptainMidnight
Good news : finished my right pec. Bad news : now I have to take a few days out of the gym. Happy this piece is done, but the few days off always suck and I didn't plan this one in a good deload time. CaptainMidnight
remember you'll probably be benefitting from the extra days off you wouldnt have normally given yourself 9/10 I agree with you -- also, I'm a huge fan of deloads and rests. This one just fell smack in the middle (by necessity) of a cycle that was progressing nicely. Had a rest programmed in 3 weeks anyway ,so all is well. hogg 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/1792-lifting-threadtraining-for-the-tattooed-warrior/?page=27#findComment-103927 Share on other sites

There is a joke to make here at @hogg's expense, but I'll be nice and say that I agree with you suburban.
