taaarro
Hello I'm a tattoo fan/burgeoning collector based in Tokyo. I've been visiting this site for a while and it's been incredibly addictive, entertaining, and informative. Glad to be here and hope you're all enjoying the new year. CaptCanada
Wow, great I have someone in Tokyo to join me in what has been my daily solo meet ups. What part of Tokyo are you living in and who has tattooed you? Duffa
taaarro
In Tokyo, I've only gotten tattooed by my friend Megu (Megumu Kamata | Facebook), who also works at Invisible in New York. He did the black and gray fine-line lady head. I think he's very good and has a very unique perspective on tattooing. He works in Japanese style too. I got my latest tattoo the snake rip from Bailey Hunter Robinson in New York last December. I got the tiger from Sara Schor, also in New York about two years ago... Alas my tattoos aren't very "Japanese"! Duffa, daveborjes, Lochlan and 1 other
CaptCanada
Nah its alright, how many japanese do you see in the street with japanese style tattoos? Great Snake by the way. And I'm only asking what part of Tokyo you're living in cause I live in Nakano-ku... wanna know a rough estimate of how close the nearist LST'er is to me ;). CaptCanada
I'm rather curious now? who do you think it would be? What the nearest user to me, excluding him, maybe singapore or hawaii.
RoryQ
I'll be in Japan in November again - this time we really will do an LST meet-up ...
Duffa
@CaptCanada - yeah, I meant the nearest user (other than him) Not that it was important it just made me wonder, cheers for the reply homie ;) @RoryQ - November you say?.. considering I need to start my back this year... and if Jetstar have a sale for that period... me thinks November would be excellent timing & an LST meet up would just be the icing on the cake! RoryQ
Cool, well we know the dates we're in town for Shige appointments but just haven't booked flights yet. Will check exactly what they are and report back.
CaptCanada
I'll be in Japan in November again - this time we really will do an LST meet-up ... Yeah, cause last time you just had to much planned in your trip to meet up. @Duffa are you willing to come to Tokyo or are we going to have to meet in kansai? If you can make it. Duffa
@CaptCanada - I am still yet to visit Tokyo & to catch the Shinkansen so I am more than happy to get my ass to Tokyo on said Shinkansen!... if I can make it ;) (I'll find a way haha)
RoryQ
@CaptCanada - yeah, sorry about last time. It was a bit hectic to be honest. This time should be more chilled. Just booked flights with SAS (flying via Copenhagen for a change... Should be better than Heathrow) - we're around from 18 Nov - 2 Dec. Duffa
@RoryQ - good to know dates, I'll keep an eye out for cheap tickets around that time @taaarro - sorry for derailing your thread, but on the plus side looks like it may have helped to work on the first Nihon LST Meeting!
