Janine
This was a cover up tattoo. What was underneath was much much worse than this. It was very colorful so there werent that many options to cover it up. We decided to do a Hannya mask. I know it´s not a good tattoo but how bad is it really in your opinion? I am planning on making it a full sleeve so that there is more color in the front and I am planning on adding more tattoos so that this isn't always the main focus. Please be brutally honest. Gregor
@Janine did you look at the artists work before you got this ? Dont let them near you again ! Get a decent artist to take a look and see if it can be modified , or saved
Mr. Frog
Yeah, whoever did that has no business doing Japanese stuff. Maybe you can do a giant panther crawling down your arm to cover it all? Different artist though.

Ursula
I'd be bummed if it was on me. Once you get lots more tattoos from good artists it probably won't bother you as much anymore though. If you let us know where you live I'm sure someone here will know a good artists in that area. gougetheeyes
slayer9019
I personally would be upset if I wore it. While I have seen worse, than doesn't make it great by any standard. I would look into laser but as mentioned purple is a son-a-bitch color to get out. Find a quality artist to give you an opinion. Panthers always look good! Janine
The Panther idea is excellent. Thank you all so much. I´m going to find an amazing artist and pray that maybe it can all be covered with a panther. Thank you so much for this idea :)

Janine
I am still playing with the idea of getting it lasered. It doesn't have to completely disappear I just want it light enough to do a decent cover up with a good artist. Will the purple not come out at all? Dr Benway
My advice would be to put your time, energy and money into some new tattoos and perhaps chalk this one up to experience. If you REALLY want to get it covered up in 5-years or so then do, but for now why not just get what you want instead of spending your time rectifying mistakes. Scott R
good point benway. As she gets more someone may have a good idea to rework/fix this or cover it with a new idea. Hopefully the laser technology gets better and better
