dari
Is there another thread on the Walking Dead series, and I'm just missing it? Because this show is the best show on TV right now. Clay sucks, but he won't eat your brains. Is anyone else making preparations for a Zombie Apocalypse? (besides Jeff Cribb, I mean.) Tight-Lines
Im not sure if there was. We should have one general "FX THREAD" with sub-categories for all the shows. All Im doing is hitting up bass pro shop in Manteca then going to the Costco around the corner in case of zombie takeover. Hella guns and food. Scott R
i love this show found out about it about a month ago hit all season 1 and am now caught up. I have a AR upstairs in my movie room which has a picture window overlooking the street. I could fend off a few hundered zombies before i pull out the machete or war axe. If there was really zombies I would be around a bunch of jolly folks that way In a pinch i would never be the slowest. Ursula
(besides Jeff Cribb, I mean.) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA He got really mad at me and James one time for habitually driving with less than a half tank of gas. He always has a full one and full cans around just in case. Neither him or his brother could believe that prior to living in the USA I had never handled or even really seen a real gun. (I had shot air rifles in Cadets) About the show: I like it, I don't think it's as good as everyone seems to think. I still think breaking bad and true blood are better. It's def a cool show and I like the dynamics of the group. It's probably the only show that I've actually had edge of the seat moments for in a long time. I know I've been watching while smoking a joint and notice that my entire joint has burned without me cause I've been to wrapped up to smoke it hahaha. dari and Duffa
MGblues
My favorite show since "Lost" went off the air. Seen all of them in sequence since episode 1. Maybe not the best show on T.V. but my favorite of the past two years by far.

Jaycel Adkins
Thinks the show is good, but the comic is orders of magnitude better. Mike D and Beth
exume
I really liked the first season, it slowed down quite a bit in the second run but I think its building up to something awesome so it should be worth it.

Those shows I'm waiting for each new episode where Walking I do like but I think best show on tv is going a little too far. This could also be because I've never thought zombies were that awesome. I have no fear of them nor do I think they are sooooo awesome like most people seem too. I'm that chick who thinks zombie walks are pointless and I don't understand why they are so popular. RoryQ
You guys who like the T.V series, I hope you've checked out the original graphic novels (they're up to 14 volumes now in trade paperback, I think?) ... Even darker and more compelling than the T.V show, I think. When I watch the T.V series I can't get my head around the fact that the guy playing Rick is an obscure U.K actor who was in this 90s show called 'This Life'. Really bizarre to see him breaking the U.S now. I see him and I just think of him in a flat with Daniela Nardini and everyone on ecstasy. Scott R
yeah best show on tv is a strong comment with so many good ones i have found lately like The wire, game of thrones, boardwalk empire, homeland its a good time to be a couch potato
Tight-Lines
Im having some issues watching the show since I read all the comics. I know that sounds pompous and shit, but its true. The Wire is the best TV show... ever.
JAllen
a few things that should help clear things up, 1. i've not seen a full episode of this show but i'd like to see more. 2. cable is not tv, haha..if you have to pay for it, it's not just "tv" 2.a. the best show on tv ever would be twin peaks 3. any and all fears of a zombie apocalypse would lead me to believe that no one has visited a local shopping mall or dmv, because it's already started. *disclaimer, any disputes to the above statements and or offenses that may have occurred as a result of reading said statements are meant for the purposes of humor...except for the items listed 1-3. that shit is totally serious! :D

dari
K, wasn't meaning to debate if it was the best TV show ever, but it is the one I'm waiting for with the most anticipation right NOW. Of course I'm also looking forward to Game of Thrones and True Blood. I'm also loving Dexter and Boardwalk Empire and SOA. But Walking Dead makes me bite my nails when I'm watching, and there's never a boring moment. Regarding the Wire, I got so upset about the kid (Wallace?) getting killed at the end of the first season that I decided not to watch it anymore. Six months later, someone gave us the second season full of jumps and scratches, with one episode stopping at some serious vital moment, so I stopped watching. I think I might re-visit the series soon though, just saw a few boxed seasons at a friends house today. Tight-Lines
RoryQ
'The Wire' is awesome - still the most accurate police show I have ever seen, in terms of the atmosphere / attitudes. 'Game of Thrones' I haven't started watching yet - I want to finish reading the novels first.

Ursula
P.S. for anyone who's missed episodes of Walking, or just hate commercials and watching things on TV go to STRIKE GENTLY and search Walking Dead or just click the TV link at the top of the page and you will find all the episodes from last and current season for download or streaming. This is where I watch almost everything that isn't on shitty Canada netflix. P.P.S. That website is not safe for work as there's LOTS of porn mixed in with all the tv, music and movie leaks they post.

dari
Seriously can't get the final scene of Walking Dead out of my head. Kinda wanted to bring it up in the middle of the yoga class I was teaching tonight, but I don't think all those peaceful yogis are loving the undead as much as I am right now. Ursula
Alright guy, I came here today to admit that show is growing on me. As season two goes on, it's getting better and better. Still not the best thing on t.v. but it's getting closer every episode! dari

Still not the best thing on t.v. but it's getting closer every episode! At first I thought season 1 was much better than season 2. Season 2 was kinda slow in the middle, but it gains momentum right up to the finale. Breaking Bad is better but Walking is getting there.
