question about price quotes from tattoo artists

If a tattoo artist gives a price quote of "between $550 and $650", Does that mean its going to cost precisely between those amount or will it be more possibly?

Art is not an exact science, skin is not a consistent medium. It means that is their estimate. There are a lot of things that could change that - your skin might not take the ink well, you may not sit well, he might be moving slower than usual.

Any price quote for me  was always "between this and this". Definitely hard for the artist to tell the exact price in every case.

I would go in expecting the highest price and being happy if it's lower. 🙂
