How did the pain on your kneecaps compare with other areas on your body you've been tattooed ??

It was pretty awful. Granted, I've only gotten tattooed on my arms and legs. But I still think the elbow is the worst of all time. The knee cap and the side of the knee are pretty terrible though.

Def not looking forward to the chest or stomach...

Same here, I've only been tattooed on arms and legs (and feet if those count as being different from legs), but the elbow was fucking rough. When he was packing in the color right on top of the elbow was the only time I've ever thought "holy shit, I don't think I'm going to be able to finish this tattoo," but right as I was thinking that he finished up with that part and moved on to an easier spot further down my arm.

Got this from Scott Sylvia over the weekend, very happy with it (stole the pic from blackhearts IG). Gonna go back to Blackheart for their walk in day in a couple weeks too.

Saw this on the Blackheart IG feed. This is too good. I want Scott to tattoo my elbow. Kinda want to get something on walk-in day too. They have so much good flash. Got my eye on Flash400 stuff...

We have tried something completely different work wise, totally out of mine and Davids comfort zones, it may not work but we tried for something different lol

Brutally honest opinions chaps and girls lol we went for scribbly textured arty fartty style lol. We need to do more shading down the inside of the leg still and David said once its settled down we should see lots of textures. 10 hours on this and we still need to add more shading as its swollen really bad at the moment.

What do you think?

Just an update, I am joining the noob laser people lol I hate this tattoo, looks like a blob of shit so its going :)

I guess I have to experience all aspects of the tattoo world :)

@peterpoose No tattoo is perfect and even the best can make mistakes, to be honest though, considering your favoured style is black and grey realism, I don't think that artists work is overly impressive in that style. You are very dedicated to the work you get, respect for that. Hope you get something you are happy with next time.

Honestly, I think the placement is just off. But that's just my opinion.

I agree, I think that picture needed a flat surface to show it properly but we live and learn. :)
