Latest tattoo lowdown.....

@Mark Bee Is that supposed to make me feel better?  I'm normally forgiving of an artist's mistakes, but this uneven handle is going to drive me crazy! I need to stop by at another shop in the same town sometime to let another guy who tattooed me get healed photos of what he did, so I figure I'll just pop in to both shops someday.

Little late here. Got this one waaayyyy back in November of 2015 from Chad Koeplinger while he was at Tattoo Paradise in DC. Tough to get a good pic because of the way it wraps, but you get the idea.

Thanks man. It was one of those deals where I didn't entirely know what I was getting til I got to the shop. As you can imagine, I was thrilled with what he came up with.

I think that's the most fun way to get a tattoo. I'm getting tattooed by him on July 8th and have zero clue at the moment. Planning on picking something out of his book of drawings.  @Bmore

I guess I'm just not observant enough - it took until I knes exactly where to look before I saw the difference in the handle. I also think it looks great!

@marley mission Thanks! Chelsea Kotzur at True Blue in ATX. She stays really low key, but is really an incredible painter, in my opinion. She really got me comfortable with serious tattooing and I love love love her lady heads. So I asked her if she would do a big piece on me. I gave her the elements and let her go nuts. Means a lot more to me than if it was from a big name I was getting as a collector that I didn't have a relationship with.

@polliwog Todd is on my short list - I need to see if he still works out of Right Coast in Delaware (closer to me). Seems like he is up in Mass mostly? But I dig his work and imagine it's just a matter of time before I get tattooed by him

@marley mission he is in Massachusetts 3 weeks per month and at Delaware for 1 week, I believe. He does still have a lot of availability in MA, so if you come up here I'm happy to meet you after. That may be a disincentive, though.  Double your pleasure and hit upThe Torchbearer in RI.

@polliwog thanks for the heads up - would love to meet up - I want to get to Redemption and Torchbearer - might be an ideal double shot  :) maybe in the fall gotta see where money and schedule are - pretty sure i'm done till fall - but you never know - i'm just not a fan of healing in the summer

@marley mission I hear you.  A local tattooer recently posted a drawing that I love, but it would require multiple sessions and I want to be able to swim this summer.

@marley mission Honestly, Todd's pretty far down in DE (right across the DE/MD border). I got tattooed by him when I used to go to the shore at OCMD, and it was about three hours from Philly. It's about 5 to Boston. So yeah, farther, but you're also a little farther north, correct? Couldn't hurt looking into.

yup - it'd be about 3 hours for me give or take
