Picked up this cool little fella from Tomas Garcia while he was working a guest spot at Acme Tattoo in Staunton, VA. Tomas is a really cool, humble guy. Do yourself a favor and get tattooed by him if you ever get the opportunity.

Really neat looking tattoo. I don't think it needs a background. Or just B/G as @pidjones said. Blue background will make the the shape of the blue in the costume hard to read

I will consider that. The intent to waiting for the background was to let the body heal before choosing the shade of blue for the sky background. The intent is to be cloudy light blue, which would still lend for some contrast. Once this heals, I will mess around with some photoshop to get an idea of how it will contrast.

Thanks, @Cork, @Iwar, and @RoryQ. Freddy said he decided to go all black (as opposed to black and gray) to make it stronger next to the tiger. Great decision.

By the way, I was getting tattooed by Freddy years ago and mentioned to him that I wanted to get a tiger and a baku or maybe a tiger and rooster from Lehi. Freddy said, "Just get two tigers. Two tigers would be bad ass." He was right (of course). It's only fitting that he wedged my son's name above one of those tigers.
