Soph
Hi there! I got this tattoo 3 days ago and it seems to be scabbing pretty damn heavily! This is my 17th tattoo and I've never experienced any problems like this before. Am I overreacting? I'm assuming that the yellow parts are just excess plasma which has been discoloured by ink and aftercare products? Also the red on face/breast is supposed to be blood, it's not an actual open wound 🙂 I wash 2/3 times a day with Hustle butter foam wash and follow up with After inked lotion. SStu
From back here it looks like those 2 lines were worked over pretty good. As long as it's not not red, hot and swollen it shouldn't be infected. My personal opinion would also be to let it dry heal. All those specialty products aren't necessary. Hogrider
Quit wasting your money on those after care products. It's total marketing bullshit. I (and many people I know) have successfully healed hundreds of hours of tattoos with a little A&D ointment for the first three days and a little Cocoa butter thereafter. Emphasis on a little. The more ingredients in the snake oil, the more chance you'll react to something. oboogie
oboogie
I keep my new tattoos clean and dry heal. You really are wasting your money on those products. Don't fall for their horseshit. Hogrider and SStu

What do you guys think to bepanthen. I have only a few tattoos, not too many. Most I got years ago which where don’t touch and just keep dry back then. Nobody put anything on them. Now my artist says bep and to be fair they have healed well I think. That then switch to Aveeno/ cocoa butter. I’m guessing you mean hustle butter and specialist stuff that costs £15 a tube. Can’t see how that’s necessary and looks like a way to make easy money by promising better results. I’ve always been sceptical.
oboogie
I tried bepanthen back in the day. It didn't really do anything for me. If you wanna put something on your tattoos (you really don't HAVE to), use cocoa butter. I use Kiehl's Creme de Corps Whipped Body Butter on it tattoos after they heal because that's the body lotion I prefer. Simong

I've been using the same method for more than 10 years. These tattoo specific creams and potents are a scam. I don't want to put anything more ingredients on my skin than I have too. Besides the cost, as I said earlier, the more the ingredients, the more chance of a reaction to one or more of them. Simong
Soph
Thanks for all the advice guys! Since Wednesday I have taken an almost dry healing approach apart from putting on a very thin layer of unscented lotion when it was feeling extremely tight. This is how it looks now, I'm assuming the yellow crusts are a build up of plasma? Its not hot/swollen/red but there's some pretty thick scabs especially near the face area
SStu
It'll be ok. oboogie
oboogie
Seriously, stop putting ANYTHING on it. Just keep it clean and let heal. 👍

It sounds like sticking with whatever works for you. I was always sceptical as everyone used to dry heal years ago and now there’s new “wonder creams” being put out all the time. I thought it was mostly a scam to get your money. Edited February 14, 2022 by Simong

I agree with this opinion. You can't ask for more than that. I'm in college now and have found http://essaypapers.reviews/ to solve everything. Because I don't have enough time for my hobby. I think I'm not the only one who does this, I also hope there are many people in solidarity with me. wow Edited December 20, 2022 by tomasgreenro
