jdub
I'm guessing for us older folks, it's a bit more challenging for artists. I'm close to 52 and have a bit of skin crepey on arms. I would think we are more susceptible to blow outs and harder for line work in skin sag areas. For us olders, what do you think? Hogrider
All the more reason to get an experienced artist. I got my first tattoo at 50, I'm 64 now and finishing up a body suit. Keep hydrated and use cocoa butter on your skin regularly to keep it healthy. jdub and oboogie 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/10021-for-us-older-folk/#findComment-152755 Share on other sites

jdub
I put lotion on every day due to dry skin. But yea it seems this crepey stuff has creeped up on me. I shouldn't be surprised as I have worked in the sun quite a bit. But I didnt think it would start in my 50s 😞 Edited December 20, 2021 by jdub Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/10021-for-us-older-folk/#findComment-152758 Share on other sites

jdub
Depending how my arm is postured I do have a couple lines that look a bit janky and think it's due some of this crepey stuff. I did lose a bit of weight and think it factors into it. But I am really happy with the what I got done 🙂 Quote Link to comment https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/10021-for-us-older-folk/#findComment-152768 Share on other sites
oboogie
I'm not much younger than you are, and I don't have crepey skin. Working in the sun definitely ages your skin faster. I'm pale as a ghost. It helps.
