Tattoo blowout??

So I got my first tattoo 6 days ago, it’s a lotus flower with small dots for detail. I noticed on the second/third day of having my tattoo that the dots on the left side had expanded underneath the skin, I’ve done some googling and I think it might be ink blowout. However it looks quite odd compared to the right side which is supposed to have a symmetrical pattern. I’ve been wondering whether because it’s a new tattoo that this blowout with disappear?? Any help?? Thank you in advance 🙂

Do you take any supplements like fish oil etc? We have noticed that some pigments migrate due to supplements etc.  One of my next couple of posts is going to be discussing this topic.

I take fish oil. Are these supplements bad for tattoos in general or only during healing?

I have not quizzed my clients on their supplements usage so I cannot comment on that aspect. One thing I have noted in regards to blowouts is last year I was doing an unusually large amount of thigh tattoos. I was experiencing blowouts consistently and it had me alarmed. It didn’t matter how gentle I was.  I tried setting my Spectra Xion machine to a softer hit setting and it did not help. One day I tried using a harder hit setting and suddenly the blowouts in the thigh area stopped.

doesnt look like blowout to me, go to the doc. It looks similar to an irritation my bf has on his leg that clear up with cream and not scratching it, his has also been around a long time. I bet its not tattoo related.

There is a chance it could heal up just fine, I've seen it happen.  Though it's a hard guess without seeing what's going on.  Even if it doesn't heal perfect... the tattoo artist should be willing to touch it up for you if nessacary once it heals.
